Our Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours programme which is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) will give you the knowledge and practical skills you need to enter the pharmacy profession. Throughout this 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours degree programme, you will be taught the fundamentals underpinning the use of medicine, including the physiology of the human body, the effects of medicines on human body and how medicines are developed and designed. You will become familiar with the professional aspects of pharmacy through a variety of placements with our extensive links with the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, and community pharmacy. In the fourth year, you will develop your research skills by completing a research project under the supervision of a dedicated staff in your chosen pharmacy area. Throughout the programme, you will be trained in communication skill to ensure that you can communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals. Your training will also include problem solving, decision making and developing the skills you need to adapt to any changes that may occur during your career.

Entry Requirement

Higher School Certificate Level or its Equivalent (STPM and A-Level):

Grades BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics with minimum grade B for chemistry.

General Certificate of Education Advanced (“A”) Levels:

Grades BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics with minimum grade B for chemistry.

Matriculation:

Grades BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects: Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics with minimum grade B for chemistry.

Pre-Medical/Pre-Pharmacy Programme or Foundations in Science :

Grades BBB or ABC or AAC in 3 subjects:Biology and Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics with minimum grade B for chemistry.
Provided the programme is not less than 1 year and completed in the same institution and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 5 Bs each in 5 subjects:Biology and Chemistry and Physics and Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and Another subject Or
General Certificate of Education Ordinary (“O”) levels 5 Bs each in 5 subjects: Biology and Chemistry and Physics and Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and another subject
Or Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) B4 each in 3 subjects: Biology and Chemistry and Physics and Advanced Mathematics

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) :

B4 each in 5 subjects: Biology and Chemistry and Physics and Advanced Mathematics and Any other subject

Diploma :

Diploma in Pharmacy or Diploma in Health Sciences or equivalent CGPA 3.5 (out of 4.0) and
Provided the course is not less than 5 semesters or 2½ years and completed in the same institution and
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2 Bs each in Chemistry and Biology/Physics/Maths and Credits in 3 other subjects including English

Degree :

Degree in Health or Medical or Pure or Applied Sciences CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0)

International Qualifications :

A minimum of 30 points overall and
attained a minimum score of 5 each in 3 of the following subjects: Biology; and Chemistry; and Physics or Mathematics with a minimum of 2 at Higher Level (HL) and 1 at Standard Level

Monash University Foundation Pre-University Program (MUFY) or South Australian Matriculation (SAM) or Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) :

Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects: Biology; and Chemistry; and Physics or Mathematics with minimum of 75% in chemistry

Canadian Pre-U (CPU)or Canadian International Matriculation program(CIMP) :

Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects:Biology; and Chemistry; and Physics or Mathematics with minimum of 75% in chemistry

All other international qualification :

Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects: Biology; and Chemistry; and Physics or Mathematics with minimum of 75% in chemistry

Other equivalent qualifications :

English Proficiency: Band 3 in MUET / Score 550 TOEFL or Band 6.0 IELTS with min. Band 5.5 in each skill Writing, Reading, Listening or Speaking (WRLS)
